Brad Jakubowski is an Instructor of Plant Science at Penn State University. On Thursday, January 18, he will be presenting “Making Better Weather-Based Management Decisions”.

Management decisions based on weather can have a large impact on field conditions. Provide more consistent playable field conditions by better understanding and utilizing your weather data. Learn how to proficiently integrate weather data, maps and forecasts into your daily management routine to provide the best playing conditions possible.

Turf managers will learn:

  • Fundamental concepts of meteorology.
  • How to interpret daily weather graphs and weather station data.
  • To apply meteorological information to turfgrass management especially with how it may impact game scheduling, disease management and regular management scheduling.
