Associate Field Superintendent

Oklahoma State University Athletics Center is seeking applicants for the position of Associate Athletics Field Superintendent in the Facilities Department.

Assist the Field Superintendent in overseeing and managing all aspects of maintenance and upkeep of the OSU Athletic Village fields and grounds as well as all associated equipment.  This includes management and supervision of Assistant Field Superintendents and students. In the absence of the Athletic Field Superintendent, position is required to assume all duties of the superintendent. Directly responsible for communication with the baseball and softball coaches as well as overseeing and coordination of all aspects of the two sports. Assist in overseeing maintenance and regulations of all fields.

Normal work hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. but Athletics events and practices are often after 5 p.m. or before 8 a.m. and/or on weekends. Flexible schedule may be required as determined by needs and supervisor. Some travel is required in performing this job.  Required qualifications are Associates in Turfgrass Management or related field with 3 years experience in grounds keeping at a college or professional venue. Prior completed internships can be substituted for post-graduate experience at the discretion of the Athletic Fields Superintendent.  Education may be substituted in lieu of years of experience.
