Reporting to the Director of Grounds & Special Events, the Assistant Director is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and performing labor needed for all maintenance and areas of the athletic fields and golf course. Essential functions include but are not limited to:

·         Plan, facilitate and implement a plan of maintenance for all athletic fields consisting of warm season, cool season and artificial turf field

·         Facilitate and maintain a strong, positive working relationship with Athletics

·         Plan, facilitate and implement a plan of maintenance for  a 9-hole golf course and 18-hole foot golf

·         Facilitate and implement disease, weed and pest identification and control for all areas of the campus using integrated pest management (IPM) strategies

·         Create plans, schedules and assign work to groundskeepers to facilitate watering, weeding, spraying, fertilizing, mulching and edging the golf course and athletic fields
