Spring Training Grounds Crew

The Groundskeeper II at the Goodyear Ballpark cares for and maintains the spring training baseball facilities, right-of-ways, medians, and other public grounds.

The ideal candidate for the Groundskeeper II will have previous experience in a professional level baseball setting (college level or above) as well as knowledge in irrigation systems. The ideal candidate for this position will also have the ability to thrive in a high work volume environment, be flexible with work shift and times and the ability to lead others.

Work requires knowledge necessary to understand basic operational, technical, or office processes.  Level of knowledge equivalent to four years of high school or equivalency. Minimum one year experience in a related field.

Valid Driver’s License and within one year of hire must obtain or possess a valid Arizona Structural Pesticide License in Turf and Ornamentals and a Turf Management certification such as or equivalent to:

  • University of Georgia Sports Turf Certification
  • U of A Desert Turf School
  • Smart Scape Landscape Certification
