Baltimore Orioles Spring Training

Sarasota Florida, the Spring Training home of the Baltimore Orioles, is now accepting applications/resumes for the following position:

Title: Full-Time Grounds Crew

Reports to: Head Groundskeeper

Compensation: $28,000 annual salary + Overtime

*Groundskeepers are responsible for operating and maintaining designated playing fields, bullpens, pitching mounds, batting cages/tunnels and landscaping areas at both Ed Smith Stadium and Buck O’Neil Baseball Complex while ensuring a safe and competitive playing surface that exceeds MLB standards for professional baseball.  Annual events include but are not limited to Major League and Minor League Spring Training, Extended Spring Training, Gulf Coast League Baseball, as well as Little League, High School, and College level tournaments.

*The successful candidate must be a self-starter with an exceptional work ethic and be able to accomplish assigned tasks with minimal supervision. Overtime hours expected throughout the year.


 1 year/season of baseball field maintenance at the college or professional level.

 Ability to operate maintenance equipment in a safe and proper manner. Training available.

 Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.

 Team player – working effectively with fellow employees without disturbing players.
