Position: Grounds Intern

Reports To: Field Manager

Compensation: Hourly Rate

Start Date: Flexible on report dates.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following:

• Assist with the operation and upkeep of the playing surface
• Total playing surface maintenance, including cutting, game ready preparation, complete fertilization application and equipment maintenance.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and supplies/materials to maintain the playing surface.
• Assist in rain delay procedures
• Baseball Specific: Helps in maintaining infield skin, clay areas and grass to skin transition
• Safely perform all duties and responsibilities
• Work with supervisor to obtain goals
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Applicants should be enrolled or recent graduates of a 2 or 4-year turf program.

Physical Demands:

Must have the ability to do heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.) and deal with all kinds of weather conditions.

Attendance Requirements:

40hrs a week, start time will be based on team needs and schedule.
