Toma Award

2015 George Toma "Golden Rake" Award

Ben Polimer with the Town of Weston was awarded the 2015 George Toma "Golden Rake" Award.

The Toma is known as the "and then some" award, because this honor goes to an individual who goes above and beyond what is required to ensure their colleagues and communities are supported.Ben has grown from a shy assistant into a leader who has produced quality sports surfaces for students and other groups. He has embraced environmental advocacy and implemented practices that set the standard for stewardship. As a volunteer for National committee service, chapter board service, and service to other organizations, Ben is all about doing what it takes “and then some” to promote the profession and provide the safest fields possible.
