Promote Professionalism
STMA actively pursues professionalism through a series of educational opportunities and endowments for its members. Our Scholarship Programs encourage members to be leaders in strengthening the sports turf industry and to enhance their turf competence through education.

The STMA Awards Program rewards and recognizes turf managers who go above the call of duty to further the science of turf management. These are individuals who have researched facets of turf management that aids fellow turf managers' pursuit of excellence.

The Certified Sports Turf Manager, or CSFM Program, is a professional "seal of approval" for turf managers. The CSFM designation is for those who have completed a rigorous educational and "hands-on" program. These are very accomplished, competent turf managers.
